Type: kshetra
Scene: Vyāsa narrates a sacred map: to the west of a Śambhu locus stands Kaśyapa’s son, marking the entrance/identity of Ravikṣetra; the scene feels like unveiling a pilgrimage landscape.
Sacred landscapes are mapped through divine installations; knowing a tīrtha’s placement is itself part of Mahātmya.
Ravikṣetra is named as the sacred kṣetra situated on the western side of Śambhu (Śiva).
No explicit rite is stated; the verse introduces the tīrtha’s location and sanctified establishment.
