शबर्युवाच । एतावदेव साफल्यं जीवितस्य च जन्मनः । परार्थे यस्त्यजेत्प्राणाञ्छिवार्थे किमुत स्वयम्
śabaryuvāca | etāvadeva sāphalyaṃ jīvitasya ca janmanaḥ | parārthe yastyajetprāṇāñchivārthe kimuta svayam
A Śabarī disse: 'Este é o único verdadeiro sucesso da vida e do nascimento: se alguém der o seu próprio fôlego pelo bem de outro, quanto mais pelo bem do próprio Śiva!'
