api kalpāyuṣāṃ teṣāṃ devānāṃ tu viparyayaḥ | anekāmayabaddhānāṃ kā kathā naradehinām

Até mesmo os deuses, cujas vidas podem durar um kalpa, sofrem reviravolta e declínio; que dizer então dos humanos, presos a incontáveis enfermidades?
