Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It declares Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose sovereignty establishes niyati (cosmic order). Even natural forces and divine administrators act with disciplined reverence, showing that dharma and the universe’s stability rest upon Shiva’s lordship.
In Linga worship, the devotee honors Shiva as the visible support of the cosmos (Saguna focus) while recognizing His transcendent governance (Nirguna truth). This verse supports the Linga as the sign of the One before whom even devas and elements uphold their functions.
Cultivate bhaya-bhakti (reverent awe) through japa of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and offerings into fire (Agni) with the awareness that all ritual power and order operate under Shiva’s command.
