तस्माद्विधानदुक्तं तु शृणुयाद्भक्तितो मुने । पुराणं निगमार्थाढ्यं पुण्यदं हृदयं श्रुतेः

Transliteration

tasmādvidhānaduktaṃ tu śṛṇuyādbhaktito mune | purāṇaṃ nigamārthāḍhyaṃ puṇyadaṃ hṛdayaṃ śruteḥ

Translation

Portanto, ó sábio, deve-se ouvir este Purāṇa com devoção, conforme foi prescrito. Ele é rico no sentido dos Vedas, concede mérito e é o próprio coração da Śruti, a Escritura revelada.
