Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Cosmic Event: Kali-yuga reference (age of decline) contrasted with continued birth of Śiva-aligned progeny
It affirms Shiva’s continuing, compassionate presence in Kali Yuga through manifested lineages/forms, teaching that even in decline of dharma, the Lord remains accessible for protection and upliftment of beings.
By naming forthcoming sons/forms, the text emphasizes Saguna Shiva—Shiva who graciously takes knowable names and functions—supporting devotional worship (including Linga worship) as a concrete means to approach the transcendent Lord.
The practical takeaway is nāma-smaraṇa (remembrance of Shiva’s names/forms) and steady bhakti in Kali Yuga, supported by regular Shiva worship such as Panchakshara japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
