The Manifestation/Transmission of the Mṛtyuñjaya Vidyā
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights bhakti expressed through stuti (praise) and repeated namaskara (prostration), showing that humility and surrender to Shiva—here addressed as Bharga, the purifier—are powerful means for inner purification and grace.
The Eight-Form (Aṣṭamūrti) praise is a Saguna approach—worshipping Shiva through His manifest cosmic forms—leading the devotee to reverence that can be directed to the Linga as the concentrated symbol of Shiva’s all-pervading presence.
Recite an Aṣṭamūrti stotra with focused devotion and conclude with repeated prostrations (pañcāṅga or aṣṭāṅga namaskāra), cultivating surrender; this pairs naturally with Shiva-japa such as “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
