शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
देवदानवयोर्युद्धं स्परमभून्मुने । धर्मतो युयुधे तत्र देवदानवयोर्गणः
devadānavayoryuddhaṃ sparamabhūnmune | dharmato yuyudhe tatra devadānavayorgaṇaḥ
Ó sábio, ergueu-se uma batalha feroz entre os Devas e os Dānavas. Ainda assim, nesse confronto, as hostes de ambos lutaram segundo o dharma, dentro dos limites da conduta reta.

It teaches that even intense conflict should be governed by dharma—self-restraint, right conduct, and accountability—so the soul is not further bound by pāśa (bondage) created through adharmic action.
In Shaiva understanding, Saguna Shiva as the Lord of dharma upholds cosmic order; this verse frames the battle as occurring under dharmic limits, reminding devotees that Shiva’s grace supports righteous action and inner discipline, not chaos or cruelty.
Practice dharma-smarana with japa of the Panchakshara mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to cultivate restraint and clarity, so actions—even under pressure—remain aligned with righteousness.
