द्वन्द्वयुद्धवर्णनम् / Description of the Duel-Combats
कार्तिकेयस्ततो दैत्यं शक्त्या विव्याध सत्वरम् । जलंधरं महावीरो रुद्रपुत्रो ननाद च
kārtikeyastato daityaṃ śaktyā vivyādha satvaram | jalaṃdharaṃ mahāvīro rudraputro nanāda ca
Então Kārttikeya —o grande herói, filho de Rudra— trespassou rapidamente o demónio Jalandhara com a sua lança śakti; e, como valente excelso, soltou um brado retumbante.
