(Sandhyā-caritra-varṇanam) — “Narration of Sandhyā’s Austerity and Encounter with Śiva”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as the compassionate Pati (Lord) who guides the devotee toward the right course of action; once His instruction is given, He remains subtly present even if He outwardly disappears.
Śiva here acts as Saguna—the personal Lord who speaks, directs, and protects—showing that devotion includes listening to His guidance and aligning one’s actions with His will.
The takeaway is disciplined obedience (ājñā-pālana) and inward remembrance of Śiva while engaging in dharmic duties—mentally repeating “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to keep the mind anchored in the Lord.
