(Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”

Sandhya (twilight) is portrayed as a sacred liminal power that intensifies inner bhāvas; in Shaiva Siddhanta this hints that the mind’s formations can be witnessed and purified, turning transition-times into gateways for devotion and clarity.
Twilight is traditionally preferred for Shiva-upāsanā; the verse’s imagery of a ‘golden lamp’ aligns with offering dīpa and focusing the mind on Saguna Shiva—especially the Linga—as the steady light that orders fluctuating mental states.
Perform Sandhya-time japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a lamp offering; sit quietly to observe mind-born bhāvas without grasping, optionally applying Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder of Shiva’s purifying presence.
