सतीचरिते पितृगृहे आशीर्वाद-वचनम् तथा यौवनारम्भः — Satī at her father’s house: blessings and the onset of youth

सर्वमासे सर्वदिने शिवार्चनरता सती । दृढव्रताभवद्देवी स्वेच्छाधृतनराकृतिः

sarvamāse sarvadine śivārcanaratā satī | dṛḍhavratābhavaddevī svecchādhṛtanarākṛtiḥ

Em cada mês e em cada dia, Satī permaneceu devotada à adoração do Senhor Śiva. A Deusa tornou-se firme em seu voto e, por sua própria vontade, assumiu forma humana.
