It highlights that reverence (ādara) expressed through sacred rites (abhiṣeka) and holy darśana refines the devotee’s consciousness, making the mind fit for Shiva-bhakti and grace—key themes in Shaiva Siddhanta practice.
Abhiṣeka is a primary Saguna mode of worship—serving the Lord through tangible ritual. The verse underscores the Shaiva principle that disciplined external worship, done with devotion, supports inner purification and leads toward deeper realization.
Perform abhiṣeka with sincere ādara, followed by seeking darśana of the holy—practically, this aligns with Linga-abhiṣeka accompanied by mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a devotional mindset.
