Description of Menā’s Attainment of Boons
and the worship leading to Umā’s advent
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): sincere tapas, vrata, and samādhi purify the soul and make it fit to receive the Lord’s granting power, showing that divine blessings follow disciplined devotion.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s personal responsiveness to devotion—Linga worship, vows, and meditation are presented as concrete means by which the devotee approaches Śiva, who then bestows the sought fruit through compassionate grace.
It points to a triad: vrata (observed vow such as fasting/niyamas), tapas (austerity with purity), and samādhi (steady meditation on Śiva—often supported by japa like “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” along with traditional aids such as bhasma and rudrākṣa where applicable).
