Brahmā’s Enchantment by Desire during the Wedding Rites
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse highlights viveka (discernment) and vairāgya (non-attachment): a devotee should not linger where there is no dharmic or spiritual purpose, but move toward the place and duty indicated by divine guidance.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the teaching supports Saguna-Shiva devotion through obedience to righteous instruction: worship is not only ritual, but also timely action aligned with Śiva’s order and the devotee’s proper role.
The practical takeaway is disciplined obedience and mental steadiness: depart from distractions, keep the mind fixed on Śiva (e.g., japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and proceed to the rightful place of sādhanā and service.
