Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It highlights bhakti expressed through reverent hospitality—welcoming Śiva with proper honor—showing that sincere sevā and respect to the Lord and His devotees purify the heart and support the path toward grace (anugraha).
The verse reflects Saguna-upāsanā: Śiva is received as the personal Lord (Īśāna) through concrete acts of pūjā like pādya and arghya, which are also standard components in Liṅga-pūjā and temple worship.
It suggests the pūjā sequence of honoring the deity/guest with pādya and arghya as part of upacāras; inwardly, one can pair this with mantra-japa (e.g., “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while offering water with devotion.
