Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
The verse elevates darśana (sacred beholding) as a direct cause of ānanda, implying that contact with the Divine—first through vision and devotion—purifies the heart and ripens it toward deeper union and liberation.
It reflects the Saguna principle: the Divine is approached through a perceivable form and relationship. Just as devotees receive grace through Liṅga-darśana and pūjā, Shiva himself expresses bliss through beholding the divine form of Pārvatī—showing that form-based devotion can lead to the highest fulfillment.
Practice daily darśana and dhyāna of Shiva (or the Shiva Liṅga) with the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” treating seeing the deity as a complete act of worship that matures into intimate, steady devotion.
