तारकपीडितदेवशरणागतिḥ — The Devas Seek Refuge from Tāraka
Brahma
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights the principle of dharmic discernment: even exalted beings respond according to kāla (the spiritual and situational need of the moment), showing that right guidance must be timely and aligned with divine order under Pati (Śiva).
Though the verse is narrative, it supports the Purāṇic pattern where devas seek direction and receive instruction that ultimately leads toward Śiva’s grace—often expressed through Saguna worship such as devotion to the Liṅga, vows, and prayer appropriate to the circumstance.
The implied takeaway is to adopt time-appropriate sādhana: in crisis or transition, turn to Śiva through concise prayer and japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and follow the guidance of dharma as given by realized authorities.
