Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Role: liberating
Offering: naivedya
It teaches that sincere bhakti expressed through attentive worship brings steady spiritual and worldly accomplishment (siddhi) and dissolves impediments (vighna), indicating Shiva’s grace as the remover of inner and outer obstructions on the path.
The verse emphasizes saguna-upāsanā—worship of Shiva in an accessible form through pūjā and upacāras (offerings/services). In Shiva Purana practice, this naturally includes Liṅga-pūjā as a principal mode of devoted service that attracts Shiva’s anugraha (grace).
Perform Shiva pūjā with multiple upacāras—such as water/abhisheka, flowers, incense, lamp, and naivedya—supported by mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as the devotional core for removing obstacles and gaining steadiness in practice.
