Siddhanātheśvara também—pelo simples ato de contemplá-Lo—concede aos homens siddhi, a realização espiritual. É ainda conhecido como Dūreśvara, e do mesmo modo é venerado na cidade do norte, Pattana.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Another kṣetra-liṅga identification: Siddhanātheśvara grants siddhi by mere darśana; additionally known as Dūreśvara and worshipped in a northern Pattana—emphasizing Śiva’s immediate grace (darśana-mātra-phala).
Significance: Highlights darśana as salvific/efficacious: seeing the liṅga is itself a mode of contact where pāśa loosens and capacities (siddhi) arise through Śiva’s anugraha.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches that Śiva’s presence in a consecrated form (Siddhanātheśvara) grants siddhi through darśana—showing the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on grace (anugraha) flowing through devotion and sacred encounter.
By naming Siddhanātheśvara/Dūreśvara and praising the fruit of merely seeing him, the verse highlights Saguna Śiva worship through the linga/kshetra as a direct channel for Śiva’s saving power and blessings.
Pilgrimage and reverent darśana of the Shiva-linga, accompanied by bhakti and japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), is the implied practice for receiving siddhi and spiritual uplift.
