Andhakeśvara-liṅga Māhātmya and Śiva’s Subjugation of Andhaka (अन्धकेश्वरलिङ्गमाहात्म्य तथा अन्धकवध-प्रसङ्ग)
प्राजापत्यं भवेद्यर्हिं तर्ह्येको हि भवान्भवेत् । तदा पूजा च सम्पूर्णान्यथा सर्वा च निष्फला
prājāpatyaṃ bhavedyarhiṃ tarhyeko hi bhavānbhavet | tadā pūjā ca sampūrṇānyathā sarvā ca niṣphalā
Quando surge a condição Prājāpatya (relacionada a Brahmā), então deves permanecer só e com autocontrole. Só assim o culto se torna completo; caso contrário, toda adoração torna-se infrutífera.

Linga-puja is not only external offering but concentrated, regulated worship. The verse stresses proper conduct—especially restraint and single-pointedness—so Saguna worship becomes ‘complete’ and capable of revealing Shiva’s presence.
Maintain solitude/withdrawal and self-control during the relevant observance; perform Shiva-puja with focused japa (such as the Panchakshara) and a disciplined routine, rather than distracted or socially mixed worship.
