Methodical Explanation of the Meaning of Praṇava/Om
शिवतत्त्वादिभूम्यन्तं शरीरादि घटादि च । व्याप्याधितिष्ठति शिवस्तमाद्विष्णुरुदाहृतः
śivatattvādibhūmyantaṃ śarīrādi ghaṭādi ca | vyāpyādhitiṣṭhati śivastamādviṣṇurudāhṛtaḥ
Desde o princípio de Śiva (Śiva-tattva) até a própria terra, e igualmente nos corpos, nos vasos e em todos os objetos formados, Śiva permeia tudo e, ainda assim, permanece como o Regente interior. Por isso também é chamado “Viṣṇu” — o Todo‑pervasivo.

It teaches that Śiva is both immanent and transcendent: He pervades every level of reality (from subtle tattvas to gross earth) and remains the indwelling Lord (Pati), guiding beings toward liberation.
Linga worship trains the mind to recognize the one Lord present in all forms. Though Śiva is beyond form, He is approached through the Saguna symbol (Liṅga) as the inner ruler who pervades every body and object.
Practice inward contemplation that the same Śiva dwells within as the controller (antar-yāmin), supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and steady dhyāna on Śiva’s all-pervading presence.
