दण्डं दक्षिणहस्ते तु वामे दद्यात्कमण्डलुम् । प्रजापते न त्वदेतान्यन्यो मंत्रेण सोदकम्
daṇḍaṃ dakṣiṇahaste tu vāme dadyātkamaṇḍalum | prajāpate na tvadetānyanyo maṃtreṇa sodakam
Que o bastão sagrado (daṇḍa) seja segurado na mão direita, e na esquerda se coloque o kamaṇḍalu, o vaso de água. Ó Prajāpati, ninguém além de ti deve conferir estes ritos e insígnias, juntamente com a água consagrada e o mantra.
