Exposition of the Supreme Method of Creation and the Tirodhāna-Cakra
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Role: liberating
It affirms graded spiritual attainments (like sālokya) granted through steadfast devotion; in a Shaiva Siddhānta reading, it underscores that sincere bhakti yields real spiritual stations, while ultimate freedom is fulfilled by the Lord’s grace beyond bondage.
Though it speaks of Vaiṣṇava devotion and the cakra, the Kailāsa-saṃhitā’s wider intent is to show that worship of a personal form (saguṇa upāsanā)—including Śiva-liṅga worship—leads devotees through definite divine attainments, culminating in higher realization by grace.
The practical takeaway is single-pointed sevā (devotional service) at the Lord’s feet—expressed in Shaiva practice as daily liṅga-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with purity disciplines like bhasma and rudrākṣa where prescribed.
