यदग्ने मर्त्यस्त्वं स्यामहं मित्रमहो अमर्त्यः । सहसः सूनवाहुत ॥

Sanskrit recitationRig Veda 8.19.25

yád agne mártyas tváṃ syām aháṃ mitra-maho amártyaḥ | sáhasaḥ sū́no āhuta ||

Se tu, ó Agni, te tornasses mortal e eu imortal, ó amigo do poder, ó filho da Força, invocado com a oferenda — ainda assim, que permaneça firme o nosso laço de auxílio mútuo.
