Sukta 1.31
त्वमग्ने मनवे द्यामवाशयः पुरूरवसे सुकृते सुकृत्तरः । श्वात्रेण यत्पित्रोर्मुच्यसे पर्या त्वा पूर्वमनयन्नापरं पुनः ॥
tvám agne mánave dyā́m avāśayaḥ purūrắvase su-kṛ́te su-kṛ́t-taraḥ | śvātréṇa yát pitrór múcyase párī ā́ tvā pū́rvam anayan nā́param púnaḥ ||
Tu, ó Agni, para Manu fizeste do céu uma morada; para Purūravas, o benfeitor, tornaste‑te ainda mais benfeitor. Quando, pela tua própria força, te libertas de teus pais, eles te conduzem primeiro ao redor e depois de novo adiante — para que cresças rumo à tua obra ulterior.
