Sarga 95: Lamentation in Laṅkā and the Causal Chain of Enmity
त्पताश्चापिदृश्यन्तेरावणस्यरणेरणे ।।।।कथयन्तिहिरामेणरावणस्यनिबर्हणम् ।
utpātāś cāpi dṛśyante rāvaṇasya raṇe raṇe |
kathayanti hi rāmeṇa rāvaṇasya nibarhaṇam ||6.95.28||
Batalha após batalha, veem-se presságios sinistros para Rāvaṇa; de fato, eles predizem a destruição de Rāvaṇa pelas mãos de Rāma.
"In every war evil portents are noticed rising up, of Rama destroying Ravana. How much more to say?"
Reality gives warnings: repeated signs call for repentance and course-correction. Dharma involves heeding truthful indicators—inner conscience and outer consequences—before ruin becomes final.
As the war progresses, Lanka witnesses repeated bad omens associated with Ravana, interpreted as signs that Rama will ultimately destroy him.
Satya as alignment with truth: the world’s signs ‘speak’ truthfully; wisdom lies in acknowledging that truth rather than denying it.
