अतिकायवधः

The Slaying of Atikāya

नियुज्यमानेसौमित्रिणाबाणवरेशिताग्रे ।दिशश्चचन्द्रर्कमहाग्रहाश्चनभश्चतत्रासचचालचोर्वी ।।।।

niyujyamāne saumitriṇā bāṇavare śitāgre | diśaś ca candrārka-mahā-grahāś ca nabhaś ca tatrāsa ca cāla corvī ||

Quando Saumitra pôs em ação aquela flecha suprema de ponta afiada, as direções tremeram; a lua, o sol e os grandes planetas, o próprio céu e também a terra, foram tomados de temor e estremeceram.
