Trisira’s Counsel and the Slaying of Naranthaka
अथान्तरिक्षेत्रिदशोत्तमानांवनौकसांचैवमहाप्रणादः ।बभूवतस्मिन्निहतेऽग्य्रवीर्येनरान्तकेवालिसुतेनसंख्ये ।।।।
athāntarikṣe tridaśottamānāṃ vanaukasāṃ caiva mahāpraṇādaḥ |
babhūva tasmin nihate'gravīrye narāntake vālisutena saṅkhye ||
Então, quando Narāntaka, o mais valente, foi morto em combate pelo filho de Vāli, um grande rugido de triunfo surgiu entre os deuses no céu e também entre as hostes Vānara.
Naranthaka, the foremost of the heroes, having been killed in combat, the Devatas and gods of the three worlds experienced great joy.
Dharma is socially and cosmically affirmed: when a threat to righteousness is removed, both divine and human-aligned communities celebrate the restoration of order.
Narāntaka’s death prompts loud acclaim from the gods overhead and the Vānara warriors on the battlefield.
