Quando, em verdade, a virtuosa Sītā—semelhante a uma filha dos deuses—se prenderá ao meu pescoço, ansiosa, e deixará cair lágrimas nascidas da alegria?
When will Sita, the chaste woman, who is like the daughter of Gods, cling to my neck, and indeed shed tears of joy?
Dharma as sanctity of marriage and faithful reunion: the longing is not mere emotion but devotion to a rightful bond preserved through truth.
Rāma imagines the moment of reunion after Sītā’s rescue—an embrace that transforms suffering into joy.
Śīla and steadfastness—Sītā’s chastity and Rāma’s fidelity to her as his rightful spouse.
