Mas Rāvaṇa inflamou-se em ira extrema pela afronta feita ao seu palácio; e, prevendo a própria ruína, entregou-se a suspiros profundos e pesados.
Ravana exhibiting extreme anger at the shattering of his palace and seeing his destruction started sighing heavily.
Unrighteous power is sustained by ego-symbols; when those symbols are shaken, inner fear surfaces—adharma ultimately collapses under its own foreseen consequences.
Rāvaṇa reacts to the humiliating assault on his palace, oscillating between rage and a dawning sense of impending defeat.
By contrast (through Rāvaṇa’s agitation), the text highlights steadiness as a virtue; uncontrolled anger is shown as a mark of moral weakness.
