सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge
प्रक्षिप्यमाणैरचलैस्सहसाजलमुद्दृतम् ।समुत्ससर्पआकाशमवासर्पत्ततस्ततः ।।।।
prakṣipyamāṇair acalaiḥ sahasā jalam uddhṛtam |
samutsasarpa ākāśam avāsarpat tatas tataḥ ||
Quando as montanhas foram lançadas, a água ergueu-se de súbito; subiu em turbilhão rumo ao céu e depois tornou a espalhar-se, repetidas vezes.
At once the water threw up (by dropping the mountains) rose, touching the sky and spreading.
Dharma includes awareness of consequence: even righteous action has powerful effects, so effort must be steady, coordinated, and responsibly managed.
The ocean is violently disturbed as heavy mountains are thrown in for the bridge foundation.
Dhairya (steadfastness) amid overwhelming natural upheaval.
