सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
इति वानरराजस्त्वामाहेत्यभिहितो मया।मामैक्षत ततः क्रुद्धश्चक्षुषा प्रदहन्निव।।।।
iti vānararājas tvām āhety abhihito mayā | mām aikṣata tataḥ kruddhaś cakṣuṣā pradahann iva ||
«Assim», disse eu, «o rei dos vānara te envia esta mensagem para o teu bem». Então Rāvaṇa fitou-me com ira, como se seus olhos quisessem consumir-me em chamas.
