द्विचत्वारिंशः सर्गः (Sarga 42): Omens in Laṅkā, Report to Rāvaṇa, and the Kinkara Assault
अशोकवनिकामध्ये राजन्भीमवपुः कपिः।सीतया कृतसंवादस्तिष्ठत्यमितविक्रमः।।5.42.13।।
aśokavanikā-madhye rājan bhīma-vapuḥ kapiḥ | sītayā kṛta-saṃvādas tiṣṭhaty amita-vikramaḥ ||5.42.13||
«Ó Rei, no meio do bosque de Aśoka está um kapi de forma terrível e de valor incomensurável — aquele que falou com Sītā.»
"The deer-eyed Sita is not willing to disclose to us his identity even when we questioned her.
Communication carries moral weight: speaking with the oppressed (Sītā) can be an act of dharma, while the tyrant fears such truth-bearing contact.
The rākṣasī-s inform Rāvaṇa that a powerful monkey is in the Aśoka grove and has conversed with Sītā.
Hanumān’s vīrya (valor) and initiative—he reaches Sītā and establishes contact despite danger.
