Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita
ततो रक्तजलं शोणमगाधं शीघ्रगामिनम्।गत्वा पारं समुद्रस्य सिद्धचारणसेवितम्।।4.40.33।।तस्य तीर्थेषु रम्येषु विचित्रेषु वनेषु च।रावण स्सह वैदेह्या मार्गितव्यस्ततस्ततः।।4.40.34।।
tasya tīrtheṣu ramyeṣu vicitreṣu vaneṣu ca | rāvaṇaḥ saha vaidehyā mārgitavyas tatas tataḥ || 4.40.34 ||
Em seus belos lugares de travessia e em suas florestas maravilhosas, procurai por toda parte Rāvaṇa juntamente com Vaidehī.
'Therefrom reach out to the swiftflowing river Sona which has redcoloured waters. Then crossing the sea which is the abode of Siddhas and Charanas search the different rivers reaching the sea, and the picturesque and wonderful forests to trace the abode of Ravana who has stolen Sita.
Dharma is the pursuit of justice grounded in truth: identify the wrongdoer (Rāvaṇa) and recover the innocent (Sītā) through careful, comprehensive search.
Sugrīva tells the searchers not only to look for Sītā but to trace Rāvaṇa’s whereabouts as well.
Thoroughness and moral clarity—seeking facts (Satya) to enable righteous action.
