Transliteration

prakāśakaraṇārthaṃ ca niśāgamanaśaṅkayā |

dīpavṛkṣāṃs tathā cakrur anu rathyāsu sarvaśaḥ || 2.6.18 ||

Translation

E, temendo a chegada da noite, ergueram também “árvores de lâmpadas” por todas as ruas, para que a cidade permanecesse bem iluminada.
