Transliteration

tataḥ sumantram aikṣvākaḥ pīḍito 'tra pratijñayā | sabāṣpam atiniśśvasya jagādedaṃ punaḥ punaḥ || 2.36.1 ||

Translation

Então Daśaratha, descendente dos Ikṣvākus—afligido neste assunto por seu voto—suspirou profundamente, vez após vez, e, com lágrimas, disse estas palavras a Sumantra.
