रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
पुरं च राष्ट्रं च मही च केवलामया निसृष्टा भरताय दीयताम्।अहं निदेशं भवतोऽनुपालयन्वनं गमिष्यामि चिराय सेवितुम्।।।।
puraṃ ca rāṣṭraṃ ca mahī ca kevalā mayā nisṛṣṭā bharatāya dīyatām | ahaṃ nideśaṃ bhavato 'nupālayan vanaṃ gamiṣyāmi cirāya sevitum ||
Que esta cidade, este reino e até toda a terra que eu renuncio sejam dados a Bharata. Cumprindo tua ordem, irei à floresta para ali habitar e servir por longo tempo.
I am renouncing this city, kingdom and this entire earth, and let all this be conferred on Bharata. In obedience to your order, I shall go and live in the forest for a long time.
Dharma as obedience to a rightful command and renunciation of power to protect truth and family vows.
Rāma explicitly relinquishes sovereignty and accepts forest life, recommending Bharata as ruler.
Detachment from kingship and unwavering compliance with duty.
