तावद्विलाडयेत्पुत्रं यावत्स्यात्पंचवार्षिकः । शिक्षाबुद्ध्या सदा कांत पुनर्मोहेन पोषयेत्

tāvadvilāḍayetputraṃ yāvatsyātpaṃcavārṣikaḥ | śikṣābuddhyā sadā kāṃta punarmohena poṣayet

Deve-se afagar e brincar com o filho até que complete cinco anos. Depois disso, ó amado, deve-se criá-lo com o propósito de disciplina e instrução, e não alimentá-lo novamente por apego ilusório.
