FAQs

Citraratha is presented as a प्रमुख Gandharva who is consecrated by Brahmā to rule over all Gandharvas.

It indicates a formal consecration (abhiṣeka)—a ritual anointing that authorizes and sanctifies kingship or office.

Legitimate authority is portrayed as arising from dharmic, sanctified appointment—rule is “puṇya” (righteous/auspicious) when aligned with cosmic order.
