प्रीत्या कथय मे कांते श्रोतुं श्रद्धा प्रवर्तते । सुमनोवाच । लोके धर्मस्य वै मूर्तिः कैर्दृष्टा न द्विजोत्तम
prītyā kathaya me kāṃte śrotuṃ śraddhā pravartate | sumanovāca | loke dharmasya vai mūrtiḥ kairdṛṣṭā na dvijottama
«Conta-me com afeição, ó amada; minha fé desperta para ouvir.» Disse Sumanā: «Neste mundo, por quem foi vista a própria encarnação do Dharma, ó melhor dos duas-vezes-nascidos?»
