मृते गुरौ समाज्ञाय स्नेहेन रुदते पुनः । श्राद्धकर्माणि सर्वाणि पिंडदानादिकां क्रियाम्

mṛte gurau samājñāya snehena rudate punaḥ | śrāddhakarmāṇi sarvāṇi piṃḍadānādikāṃ kriyām

Sabendo que o mestre morreu, ele chora repetidas vezes por afeição; contudo, deve realizar todos os ritos de śrāddha, como os atos que começam com a oferta de piṇḍas (bolas funerárias de arroz).
