FAQs

Nandana-vana is the famed celestial pleasure-grove associated with Indra’s realm (Svarga), portrayed as a divine forest marked by beauty, abundance, and auspiciousness.

Kalpadrumas are mythic wish-fulfilling trees. Calling them “mahāpuṇya” highlights their sacred, merit-bestowing nature and the spiritually auspicious quality of the grove they adorn.

The verse uses divine natural beauty—holy trees and sweet birdsong—to communicate that environments shaped by merit (puṇya) become harmonious and uplifting, encouraging cultivation of virtue that yields serenity and auspiciousness.
