It teaches that tīrtha-snāna becomes spiritually transformative when paired with inner virtues—especially kṣānti (forbearance)—and sincere bhakti, culminating in the “highest destination” (uttamā gati).
Bhakti is presented as the decisive inner factor: merely reaching a tīrtha is not emphasized as enough; bathing “with devotion” is what yields the supreme fruit, aligning pilgrimage with heartfelt surrender and reverence.
Ritual practice is implied through tīrtha-snāna (a dharmic rite of purification). While no specific Vedāṅga is named, the verse reflects kalpa-oriented conduct (proper religious procedure) joined to ethical discipline (kṣānti).
