Shloka 51

Description of the Origin of the Cosmic Egg (Brahmāṇḍa) and the Ocean as King of Tīrthas

साक्षिणं पुरुषं प्राहुर्निर्गुणं तु सनातनम् । पुरुषो वीर्यमाधत्त प्रकृत्यां च ततो गुणाः ॥ ५१ ॥

sākṣiṇaṃ puruṣaṃ prāhurnirguṇaṃ tu sanātanam | puruṣo vīryamādhatta prakṛtyāṃ ca tato guṇāḥ || 51 ||

Declaram o Puruṣa como a Testemunha (sākṣin), eterno e além dos guṇa. O Puruṣa deposita sua potência em Prakṛti, e daí surgem os guṇa.
