The Vision of Mohinī (मोहिनी-दर्शनम्)
Suta (narrating the Purana’s account; teaching framed through the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue tradition)
Vrata: Aśūnyaśayana-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that a vrata is not merely undertaken but must be properly ‘completed’ (niṣpatti) according to scriptural procedure—here, by performing the prescribed pāraṇā rites—so the observance becomes spiritually efficacious.
By grounding devotion in disciplined observance: Purāṇic bhakti is expressed through regulated vows dedicated to the deity, where correct conclusion (pāraṇā) safeguards the integrity of the devotional act.
Ritual procedure and timing—pāraṇā is a technical element of vrata-vidhi (aligned with kalā/auspicious time and rule-based completion), reflecting applied dharma-śāstra style discipline rather than grammar or astrology explicitly in this verse.
