The Exposition of the Maheśa Mantra
Mahēśa-mantra-prakāśana
एकलक्षं जपेन्मंत्रं त्रिशतं मधुराप्लुतैः । तिलैर्हुनेद्यजेत्पीठे शैवेंगावरणैः सह ॥ १६३ ॥
ekalakṣaṃ japenmaṃtraṃ triśataṃ madhurāplutaiḥ | tilairhunedyajetpīṭhe śaiveṃgāvaraṇaiḥ saha || 163 ||
Recite-se o mantra cem mil vezes; depois realizem-se trezentas oblações (homa) com oferendas umedecidas em mel. Ofereça-se gergelim ao fogo e preste-se culto no pīṭha sagrado, juntamente com os ritos auxiliares śaivas e os cercos protetores (aṅga-āvaraṇa).
