Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context; dialogue tradition with Sanatkumara lineage implied for this section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse presents a Vedic-ritual application: specific sacred and medicinal plants, when offered in homa, function as dharmic remedies—aligning bodily well-being with ritual purity and sustained religious practice.
While not directly a bhakti-verse, it supports bhakti indirectly: freedom from disease through prescribed ritual means enables steadiness in japa, vrata, pūjā, and other Vishnu-oriented devotional disciplines emphasized across the Narada Purana.
It highlights applied ritual procedure (homa) and selection of dravyas (oblations), reflecting the technical side of Vedic practice—how specific materials are prescribed for specific effects within a regulated sacrificial framework.
