It teaches that sacred worship must be protected and properly ordered: the directions are sanctified by honoring their guardians, and the ritual boundary (bhūpura) is secured by worshipping gatekeepers, ensuring the rite proceeds without obstacles.
Bhakti is expressed here as disciplined reverence—honoring divine protectors and attendants as part of a complete devotional procedure, which supports focused worship of the principal deity without disturbance.
It reflects procedural ritual science—maṇḍala/bhūpura layout and sequential worship (krama) of dikpālas and dvārapālas—an applied aspect of Kalpa (ritual methodology) within the Vedāṅga-oriented material of Book 1.3.
