Depois de primeiro adorar o aṅgāvṛtti, o rito protetor dos membros, deve-se então adorar as Śaktis sobre as folhas de oferenda (patras): Jayā, Vijayā, Kīrti, Prīti, e depois novamente Prabhā.
Sage Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context typical of Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that worship is strengthened by first establishing protection and purity of one’s own body (aṅgāvṛtti) and then invoking auspicious, personified divine energies—victory, success, fame, joy, and radiance—through a structured offering.
Bhakti here is expressed as disciplined, reverent service: the devotee approaches the deity through ordered steps—self-consecration followed by honoring the deity’s supportive Śaktis—showing that devotion includes proper method (vidhi) and heartfelt invocation of auspicious qualities.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-style vidhi) is emphasized: sequence of actions, placement of offerings (patra), and invocation of named Śaktis—showing technical liturgical organization rather than philosophical abstraction.
